Rachel Barnett, Principal
Rachel Barnett brings more than a decade of political experience to her role as principal at Barnett Strategies. Prior to launching her own firm, Rachel served as the Director of Finance at eStreet Group where she oversaw fundraising programs for multiple congressional campaigns, super PACs and down ballot races. Prior to eStreet Rachel served as Finance Director for Congressman Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) in the 2018 cycle, was the Deputy Director of the Democratic Party of Oregon, and worked in non-profit and local campaign fundraising. Rachel’s professional life had a surprising start. Prior to her work in politics, Rachel worked in technical sciences. She was never a rocket scientist, just a nuclear scientist and a medical physicist. Rachel brings her passion for political races at all levels of government to her work.
Emma Brain, Deputy Fundraising Director
Emma Brain found her passion for electoral politics by organizing on four Democratic campaigns in Utah when she wasn’t in the classroom studying to earn bachelor degrees in Political Science and English Literature. Notably, she helped elect Ben McAdams to Utah’s fourth Congressional District in 2018 and went on to intern in his office in 2020. When she heard that there wasn’t a campaign presence in Northern Utah for Elizabeth Warren’s presidential bid, she spearheaded creating one, eventually making Elizabeth Warren viable for her share of votes in the primary in that region. Post-graduation, Emma worked for Solitude Ski Resort in her hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah before moving to Washington, D.C. to work as an intern in Senator Ron Wyden’s office and now for Barnett Strategies as Deputy Fundraising Director.
